- 1 cup heavy whipping cream chilled
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar or granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
Chill your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 10–15 minutes.
Pour the cold heavy cream into the chilled bowl.
Add sugar and vanilla extract.
Beat on medium-high speed with a hand or stand mixer until soft peaks form (about 3–5 minutes).
For firmer whipped cream, continue beating until stiff peaks form, but don’t overbeat or it will turn into butter.
Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
