  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 1 small stick of cinnamon (or ½ tsp ground cinnamon)
  • A pinch of baking soda (about ⅛ tsp)
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 1 small stick of cinnamon or ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Boil the Water: Bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan.
  • Add Ginger and Cinnamon: Add grated ginger and the cinnamon stick. Reduce heat and simmer for 5–7 minutes.
  • Strain the Tea: Remove from heat and strain into a mug or heatproof glass.
  • Add Lemon Juice: Stir in the juice of ½ lemon.
  • Add Baking Soda: Add a small pinch of baking soda and stir gently.
  • Sweeten (Optional): Add honey if desired.
  • Serve: Enjoy hot or let it cool for iced tea.

Notes

Adjust ginger, cinnamon, and baking soda to taste.
For maximum vitamin C, add lemon juice after cooking.
Store leftovers in a glass container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
