Ingredients
  

  • Oat bran 2 cups
  • Brown sugar 1/2 cup
  • Cinnamon 1 tsp
  • Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Butter or coconut oil 1/4 cup
  • Chopped nuts optional 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla extract 1 tsp

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) or prepare a skillet over medium heat.
  • Mix oat bran, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Add melted butter (or coconut oil) and vanilla extract; stir until fully coated.
    Fold in nuts if using.
  • Oven method: Spread mixture on a baking sheet and bake 15–20 minutes, stirring halfway.
  • Skillet method: Toast over medium heat for 10–12 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Cool completely for maximum crunch.
  • Serve with milk, yogurt, or as a topping for smoothie bowls.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
Adjust sugar or fat based on dietary preferences.
Optional toppings: fresh fruit, seeds, or extra nuts.
Can be made gluten-free with certified gluten-free oat bran.
