One of the dishes served at Panda Express, a fast-food restaurant chain popular for its Chinese-inspired menu, is Beijing Beef. The crispy beef strips served with a sweet, tangy, and savory sauce are particularly loved. The dishes usually comes with bell peppers, onions, and sometimes carrots which are all complimentary to the beef. The sauce is made of a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, and hoisin sauce keeping the taste balanced.

It should be noted that this is not a traditional Chinese dish, it is a fusion creation designed for Western palates, combining basic ingredients with a Westernized Asian flavor profile. If considering making this at home, or something similar, a good approximation would be stir fried beef and vegetables finished with a sweet and savory sauce.
